We’ve never needed you more

image002Over the past week, we’ve experienced a community coming together. Friend to friend, neighbor to neighbor, and stranger to stranger, we have stood together and helped one another.

At Project Bread, we understand the same generosity of heart lies at the center of The Walk for Hunger. Every year, neighbors and friends come together to raise money to provide help for the 750,000 people in the Commonwealth who struggle to keep food on the table.

On Sunday, May 5, 2013, we are asking you to come out, walk, and help us raise the funds that allow Project Bread to fulfill its commitment to providing people of all ages, cultures, and walks of life with sustainable, reliable access to nutritious food. If you cannot attend on May 5th, consider becoming a virtual Walker. it’s a simple way to make a difference in our community, no matter where you are.

The Walk for Hunger has always represented the best of our city. This year, please help us show the world that the events of the past week have not changed who we are—a strong community of people that has always come together to help friends and neighbors in need. Together, we can break the cycle of hunger in our community and transform the lives of individuals and families across the state.
